Carl Gargiulo, PT, DPT, OCS, and Susan Schneider, PT, MSPT, recently completed their teaching duties for the summer and fall semesters at Columbia University Physical Therapy Program in New York City. Both taught and coordinated upper and lower extremity orthopedics for second-year physical therapy students at Columbia.
The Jersey City office recently hosted a Columbia University Physical Therapy second-year student who spent one day per week at the office observing and participating in therapist-supervised patient planning and treatment. The affiliation is the first of four clinical experiences for students in the Columbia program.
Jimmy Voorhees, PT, will resume teaching at UMDNJ's Physical Therapy Program in the winter. He will be teaching a course in Physical Agents to second-year physical therapy students. The course provides a basic instruction to students on the use of equipment integral to physical therapy such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound and laser.
Staff
With regret we announce the departure of Deanna Tomasso-Addeo, PTA, from our team. Dee has decided to take a job closer to home. She will be missed. However, she did stay on to complete her Tai Chi class and will be back as a guest instructor from time to time.
We are happy to announce the arrival of a new member to our clinical team, Michael Yasso, MSPT. Michael is a graduate of the University of Hartford in Connecticut. Michael will be working both in our out patient clinic and with the school-based population. He has a special interest in fitness and wellness. We look forward to working with Michael. Welcome!!
